I think one of the hardest parts of the wedding day (photographically speaking) is shooting the guys. Ironic huh? Well, maybe not.. since, most of the guys I have encountered are not really "all about the photos". They want to get "it over with" as soon as possible, and I totally understand that. In this Tampa Wedding Photo I am showcasing one of my favorite ways to get solid, honest shots of all the guys without it being weird, or awkward in anyway. This of course is in addition to the more posed, and styled shots that I have already taken of them. But, THIS one is what I think really matters. It's a clever shot that shows them, being them.. and I have to think that this is what 99% of people want to see in their wedding photos the most. Am I right?
So, if that's the case (and I am sure that it is) then this all quickly becomes about me, and my personality, and abilities. i.e. it's up to ME to make this happen! What you don't see is that 30-seconds before this was taken all of the guys were standing around looking to me for some type of direction. "What do we do now"., and let's face it.. this would be you too. So, I setup this "candid" shot of them (well it becomes candid in the end) and then I get them to all "shoot the shit" with one another and I fire off some random shots and --actually-- capture something real.
