I don't shoot many, but I do love Key Biscayne Weddings. In this shot you can see mom helping her daughter with some of the detail shots. The detail shots are some of my favorite parts of any wedding day. This is where you get lots of content that "tells the story", and becomes very important for things like a wedding album, blog post, etc... The biggest challenge is to create enough time on the wedding day to support creative, styled shots and this is something that I have written all about here. For the technical aspects of this shot, I have positioned them both close to a sliding glass door in the house. This was the "main light" for the shot, and then I used a small off camera light up in the back (held by my assistant) and this provided a "rim" light and this was used to help accent, and further separate them from the background. This is also what gives that beautiful shine on her hair, and that little "kiss" of light on moms face. It's very much thease little details that make a huge difference in the end results that I show, and is why my work stands alone in a marketplace that is filled with other "photographers".
