Here is another creative shot I did on the wedding day. This was taken on the second level of the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel in Miami. This was actually my first time here, and we were on the way down from her room to get my SUV from Valet, when the elevator stopped for another guest on the 2nd floor. I happen to look out, and see this location! I quickly said, “lets all get out here for a sec.”. About two min later I had this shot in my camera and THEN I was ready to go back down and get my car from Valet! Lighting here is one medium soft box camera left, shot at 200mm laying flat on my back and my face was literally pressed into the floor. I needed to do this in order to create the in camera reflection that you see here. This is what makes the "shot" This has become one of my all time favorite shots I have ever taken at a wedding. It has all the things that I love... Stunning bride, very beautiful.. lot's of texture (in the dress), sharp contrast with the background, a color tone that is very unique (the background lighting fixture was really cool) and of course a nice controlled off camera light provided by me.
