{"id":6144,"date":"2016-06-22T18:50:15","date_gmt":"2016-06-22T18:50:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thp.goodgallery.com\/blog\/?p=6144"},"modified":"2023-11-27T16:12:35","modified_gmt":"2023-11-27T16:12:35","slug":"every-day-fathers-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/travisharris.com\/blog\/every-day-fathers-day\/","title":{"rendered":"EVERY Day is&#8230; Fathers Day ;-)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[dropcap]I[\/dropcap]&#8217;ll tell ya.. as a Professional Wedding Photographer, I miss many&#8230; \u00a0<em>MANY<\/em> life events as a result of being there and apart of my clients special wedding day. \u00a0<em>Birthdays, Anniversaries, Family time, and events on the weekends (which is most of the time), holidays, and even my own honeymoon<\/em> back when I was married in 2010. \u00a0The commitment, and sacrifice that I make within my chosen career is a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">serious<\/span> one. \u00a0It&#8217;s something that I don&#8217;t think many stop to think about, not even myself at times. \u00a0Year, over year time just seems to &#8220;slip on by&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>This past Sunday was Fathers Day. \u00a0To some, it&#8217;s not a great big deal (I guess you need to be a father to fully understand), but I had a wedding and on the one hand felt very fortunate, and grateful to have business with\u00a0wonderful clients&#8230; and&#8230; on the other hand I was reminded all too well of my\u00a0commitment and sacrifice that is very real, and apart of my profession. \u00a0This comes at a &#8220;<em>cost&#8221;<\/em>, that is well beyond anything that hits the bank account.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t get me wrong,<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> I love what I do<\/span>.. and yes, I of course\u00a0see my son all the time (during the week, after business hours). \u00a0He is 3yrs old now, and growing fast. \u00a0I know that in the coming years as he becomes more, and more involved in things that I may have some very hard choices to make, as [perfectpullquote align=&#8221;left&#8221; cite=&#8221;&#8221; link=&#8221;&#8221; color=&#8221;&#8221; class=&#8221;&#8221; size=&#8221;&#8221;]missing an event that can&#8217;t be &#8220;re-done&#8221; will be\u00a0a regret that I can&#8217;t afford.[\/perfectpullquote]<\/p>\n<p>I actually had two weddings this past weekend, and I thank\u00a0both of my clients so much. \u00a0I was happy to be there, and apart of your lives. \u00a0This is another reason that I feel it is so important for me to have a nice connection with everyone that I work with. [perfectpullquote align=&#8221;full&#8221; cite=&#8221;&#8221; link=&#8221;&#8221; color=&#8221;&#8221; class=&#8221;&#8221; size=&#8221;&#8221;]\u00a0Beyond anything contractual, financial, business etc.. it&#8217;s me, my time, and my investment in you and your day.[\/perfectpullquote]<\/p>\n<p>I work damn hard to ensure the best results on the wedding day. \u00a0I put so much of myself into the day.. \u00a0planning, timeline creation, education, advice, etc.. \u00a0all in an effort to ensure the best result possible, based on what I have to work with. \u00a0Behind the scenes, I am also putting all of this in <em>front<\/em> of my family time. \u00a0This is when my wife is free, and is the time I would otherwise be with her and my son Austin. \u00a0Doing something together, as a family.<\/p>\n<p>This is my driving force. \u00a0This is my motto that I have spoken about many times &#8220;To always be better then I was yesterday&#8221;, This is why I don&#8217;t fool around with different wedding &#8220;packages&#8221; that I feel are so silly. \u00a0I give 100% of myself, my time etc to ensure a consistent, solid result that will exceed the expectation every time.<\/p>\n<p>As much as it is important for you to find all of the vendors you want on your wedding day.. \u00a0it is equally as important for me to have the ideal clients, that truly understand myself, my brand, and why what I offer is such an amazing service. \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>So, with all of that said.. \u00a0I decided to have a little private Fathers Day myself. \u00a0Something that I could replicate, and &#8220;do again&#8221;. \u00a0We had so much fun.. \u00a0check out the video below, and be sure to see all my other videos on my <a href=\"https:\/\/thp.goodgallery.com\/blog\/behind-the-scenes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Behind the Scenes page<\/a>..
